Barbeques, fireworks and ...local organic yogurt? Kicking off the Fourth of July weekend, as well as our 25thyear anniversary, Kimberton Whole Foods will be offering a farm tour of Seven Stars Farm this coming weekend.
As part of our 25th year anniversary, we will be recognizing our local farmers for their food contributions to providing Real Food from Local Roots and belief in organic and/or biodynamic farming methods. Throughout July and August, KWF will be hosting a variety of farm tours from dairy farms to poultry farms to orchards.
On Saturday, July 2nd from 3pm-5pm, join KWF for a wonderful tour of Seven Stars Farm to learn more about biodynamic and organic farming methods and the production of high-quality, European-style, local organic yogurt. Seven Stars Farm is a 350 acre certified Biodynamic dairy farm located in northern Chester County, PA. Seven Stars yogurt is sold via natural foods distributors throughout the eastern United States (and can be found at Kimberton Whole Foods stores!) One interesting fact is that before Kimberton Whole Foods became a full blown organic grocery store, it actually began in 1986 as the Seven Stars Farm store, selling exclusively yogurt!
Seven Stars Farm is located at 501 West Seven Stars Road, Phoenixville, Pa (closest to our Kimberton location). Farm tours are limited, so please visit our events page to reserve your spot!
Please go directly to the farm to attend the tour. We encourage those who attend the farm tours to wear appropriate clothing and shoes, and to bring water and snacks as it may be hot. At the farm, please be courteous of the farm and animals, and use discretion when disposing of your garbage.
