A Little about Eberly

Levi W. Eberly grew-up in the same rolling hills of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, farmland that is still home to the poultry business operated by his sons George and Bob.

In many ways little has changed since earlier generations of Eberlys’ settled in this area. Horse drawn buggies filled with farmers still criss cross the community. Small-diversified Amish and Mennonite farms remain the major industry. And Eberlys’ is still a small family-owned business that takes pride in the poultry it produces. All Eberly free range, organically grown turkeys receive only the best Certified organically grown grains, and fresh water. No poultry or fish protein supplements are added to their diet. They are allowed to grow to size naturally, and receive no growth hormones. The result is a naturally superior turkey with more abundant flavor than birds raised in Turkey "factories," greater meatiness and tenderness.

A Little about Bell & Evans

At Bell & Evans, our chickens are raised without antibiotics on a proper, 100% natural, all-vegetable diet of locally-grown corn and extruded and expeller-pressed soybeans, fortified with vitamins and minerals and amino acids for better protein balance. Unlike many other turkey growers, we never feed our turkeys junk food like rendered meat scraps; bone, feather or fish meal; or animal fats, oils, and grease. You wouldn't eat that stuff and we don't think the chickens should either. What's more, Bell & Evans turkeys are never fed growth hormones, (Federal law prohibits the use of artificial growth hormones in poultry). Bell & Evans believes in raising our poultry in the best possible way... a minimal-stress environment where they are free to roam in their houses. Biologists have long understood that overcrowding of people or animals leads to stress, an assortment of health disorders, and aggressive behavior. We all need our space, and turkeys are no exception. Stop in or call any of our store locations to place your order!

Pickup of turkeys begins on November 21st and can be picked up at any of our locations.
