Nurturing Ourselves                                                   
Many of us think of nurturing only as something we do for others.  When it comes to ourselves, there is never enough time or we dismiss it as a luxury.  
As a result, we numbly search for the satisfaction we crave.  From grabbing a convenience food to satisfy our physical hunger to convincing ourselves that some inanimate object can quell the void we feel inside.
Whether our struggle is to lose weight or find life’s purpose, nurturing ourselves seems foreign and at times selfish.  
Enter balance -- the missing link.  Without balance we are like the proverbial pendulum -- always swinging past the healthy middle.  Balance lies in what can be termed the ‘primary’ foods – or those areas of our lives that house needs and desires.  If we ignore this fact, it is easy to sabotage our every step to good health---and nurturing becomes unlikely.     
Learn how the ‘primary’ foods affect our lives, what ‘triggers’ often displace our efforts at balance and how addressing these makes nurturing ourselves central to who we are.
