Stop by to learn more about Bucks for Kids, this month’s Rounding Up at the Register recipient!
Every year, hundreds of children and teens throughout Bucks County receive services from Bucks County Children & Youth Agency (BCCYA) because of parental neglect or abuse. BCCYA provides shelter, food, counseling, case management and support. Because these young people need more than the basics in order to heal and feel safe, Bucks for Kids provides funding for activities that help these at-risk kids build self-esteem. Programs include tutoring, summer camps, sports, music and art classes, clothing, and help with post-high school education. These โextrasโ are essential to these kidsโ self-esteem, emotional healing, and healthy functioning.ย
