Bucks for Kids Tabling

Hundreds of kids and teens in Bucks County receive services from Bucks County Children & Youth Agency (BCCYA) because of parental neglect or abuse. BCCYA makes sure these kids receive shelter, food, counseling, case management and support, but these young people need more than the basics in order to heal and feel safe. Bucks for Kids, a non-profit, provides funding for activities that help build self-esteem. In 2021-2022, they awarded $30,000 for tutoring, summer camp, sports, music/art lessons, clothing, and help with post-high school education. These “extras” are essential the kids’ self-esteem, emotional healing, and healthy functioning.
