Founded in 2008, Greener Partners works with schools and hospitals to address barriers to fresh food and develop underutilized land into productive urban farms. They focus on building healthy eating habits through free fruit and vegetable distributions and through gardening, cooking, and nutrition education. Their seed-to-plate programs include Deaver Wellness Farm at Lankenau Medical Center, the Farm Explorer truck, and Healthy Schools Projects in Norristown, Chester, and West Philadelphia. Youth who participate in their programs demonstrate an increased willingness to try fresh vegetables.
