Each spring, the Conservancy hosts a watershed wide clean-up event focusing on removing trash, tires and other debris from regional waterways. During this event, volunteers work together to clean up sites located throughout the watershed. In 2019, 1,170 volunteers removed 1,022 bags of trash, 78 bags of recyclables, 145 tires and 3,620 lbs of scrap metal from 88 sites throughout the watershed!
Stream Clean-up volunteers will be responsible for picking up trash at their assigned site and leaving the trash they collect in a safe location for our pick-up crew. Pick-up Crew volunteers gather the trash from each site within their assigned region and take it to one of the five dumpsters located throughout the watershed. Have a pick-up truck or a trailer? Sign-up to be a Pick-up Crew volunteer!
