Baba’s Brew was founded in 2015 by loyal KWF customer, Olga Sorzano. It’s handcrafted in small batches using only fair trade, organic ingredients and locally sourced, seasonal produce. Growing up in Siberia, Olga began drinking kombucha with her great-grandmother at a young age. After moving to the United States, she was inspired to begin brewing her own so she could enjoy that bubbly taste of home. Baba’s Brew is vegan, raw, gluten-free and has no artificial flavorings or colors. You’ll find it bottled in our grab-n-go drink cases (available for special order at Douglassville) and on tap at our Kimberton and Malvern Cafés and in our Downingtown store.
What is kombucha?
Kombucha is a blend of green, oolong and black teas mixed with sugar and water. The tea is fermented after the introduction of symbiotic colonies of bacteria and yeast—or SCOBY—which gives the drink effervescence and a slightly sour flavor. Learn more about kombucha, here.
