Loag’s Corner Turkey Farm, Elverson, PA

Loag’s Corner Turkey Farm is a fourth-generation family farm in Elverson, PA, that has been raising fresh holiday turkeys since 1982. Family members care for the birds daily, providing clean water, fresh air, dry bedding, and carefully balanced all-natural diets designed with the turkeys’ health and well-being in mind. Loag’s turkeys are raised without antibiotics, growth hormones, or artificial additives. Loag’s fresh turkeys are never injected with solutions or added water, and they are never frozen.

Processing the turkeys is managed by the family with assistance from the local agricultur

al community, with birds traveling less than 1½ miles from farm to processing. This minimizes transportation stress and supports humane handling practices.

Beyond raising turkeys, the Loag family farms approximately 400 acres of grain and hay crops, which are sold to Lancaster County based mills, some of which are used in the turkey diets fed to their own turkeys. All turkey feed come from these Lancaster County based mills, who use additional locally grown grains in their feed blend.

The family also places a high priority on environmental stewardship, planting cover crops on all of their fields and returning composted turkey manure to the land, reducing the need for commercial fertilizers and helping maintain healthy, productive soil. Conservation improvements and sustainability initiatives are funded directly through farm operations, helping ensure the land remains productive for future generations.
