Spirulina Nice Cream Recipe

During these warm summer days, sometimes you just need a breakfast (or snack, or dessert) that is super light, healthy, and cooling. This recipe fits that description! Rachel of Food By Rach, is a local food blogger who loves sharing her passion for healthy, clean food. For this recipe, she recommends using a high-powered blender (like a Vitamix or Blendtec) or a food processor to achieve the best results.

“Nice cream” is typically a frozen dessert made without the use of dairy. This one gets a healthy boost from spirulina, which is a type of blue-green algae that is full of nutrients like protein, Vitamins B1, B2, and B3, and Iron. (Giving it superfood status!) The spirulina also gives this nice cream its gorgeous green color. Let us know what you think in the comments below.
