This Blueberry Kombucha Mocktail is fizzy, fruity, delicious, and good for you! We start with locally-brewed Baba’s Brew kombucha, and add fresh citrus, ginger, and blueberries for extra flavor. Perfect as a non-alcoholic Happy Hour beverage or to serve alongside a delicious brunch.
Recipe yields 2 servings.
What You’ll Need
- 1 orange
- 2-4 slices of fresh ginger
- Handful of fresh blueberries
- 12 oz blueberry kombucha
- Sparkling water
- Candied ginger (optional)
- Agave or other sweetener (optional)
Peel strips of orange zest using a peeler. To the bottom of two tall glasses, add 1-2 strips of zest and the ginger. Muddle the ingredients together to release their flavor. Add some blueberries and crush them lightly. (At this point, you may also add your sweetener of choice, if using.) Add ice to each glass, and another handful of whole blueberries. Split the kombucha between the two classes, then top each off with enough sparkling water to fill them. Gently stir. Top each drink with a slice of orange or (if you’re feeling fancy!) a piece of candied ginger.
Make it even easier: Substitute your favorite ginger beer for the fresh ginger and sparkling water.
