- Cook 1lb pasta according to package directions.
- Meanwhile, heat a large saute pan over medium-high heat. Add a drizzle of oil, then add 1lb sausage (casings removed) and cook, stirring and breaking apart, until no longer pink.
- Add 3-4 cloves minced garlic, 1 lb broccoli florets, and about 1 cup of chicken broth. Cover and simmer until broccoli is cooked through. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes, if desired.
- Drain the pasta and toss with the sausage and broccoli. Serve topped with shredded Parmesan cheese, if desired.
